The American production company HBO has confirmed that the third season of its award-winning hit series “Game of Thrones” filming will take place again this year in Dubrovnik.
Season 3 shooting of the popular series based on epic fantasy cycle of novels “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George RR Martin, starts in July this year and production will continue to be based in Belfast and other parts of Northern Ireland, Iceland and Morocco.
Let us remind you that the production company HBO, before the Season 2 broadcasting presented to the public a short film called “In Production-Croatia” representing producers and actors and their impressions of Dubrovnik, a town which delighted them all.
As reported and confirmed at the meeting of the representatives of the company Embassy Films, which in cooperation with production company HBO prepares the shooting and the Mayor of Dubrovnik, the crew will be staying here in late September and early October. Scenes will be shot on several locations in the town as well as in the Arboretum Trsteno, and we are sure that this year’s filming will be followed by many foreign journalists and broadcasters, whose publication in foreign media will definitely contribute to the promotion of both Croatia and Dubrovnik.
